Good Morning El

Good Morning El,

Lord you are amazing. There is nothing you can’t do. You are lovely and miraculous in special ways. Please let’s come closer. I want to learn more about you and your love for me. I want you to be the spotlight of everyday.

This day be at the center of my thoughts. Let the truth of Your goodness gravitate me into You all the more this day. In order to see, hear, and experience more of You, I humble myself before the Might Hand that You have stretched out to protect me. God, You are so precious.

This day help me to forgive, to be slow to speak and slow to anger yet quick to listen and love according to Your word. I love Your word as it is sharper than a 2 edged sword!

Lord let Your sword cut my heart of stone and reveal a heart of flesh, a heart after Your heart. As it works on me, in the same way, let Your word have a powerful effect on the girls that You have put in my life to love and care for.

Father, continue working in the lives of my family. Bring light to the dark places and healing to the broken places.

Thank You, Holy Spirit for this time with You. I love You. In Jesus, name. Amen

Real Life

My real life: this morning I woke up and said “Good Morning Holy Spirit” and He replied “I’ve been waiting for you to wake up.” I asked “Why?” He answered “I want to dance with you.”

1. Today, I interviewed my grandmother for part of a
research paper I’m working on for my psychology class.  When I asked
her to define success in her own words, she said,
“Success is when you look back at your life and the memories make you smile.”

2. Today, I asked my mentor – a very successful business man
in his 70s – what his top three tips are for success.  He
smiled and said, “Read something no one else is reading, think
something no one else is thinking, and do something no one else is doing.”

3. Today, after a 72-hour shift at the fire station, a woman
ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug.   When I
tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her.  She let go
with tears of joy in her eyes and the most…

Patience is a Tool

Patience is a tool to bridge the gap between God’s purpose and our desires James 1:2-4. God wants us wanting nothing (also found in Psalms 23)
Seeking has much to do with patience
God’s word of greater is still true. But we have to be patient bc He wants us complete lacking nothing.
As Pastor Leo preached, why do I have to go through this, “oh because if I told you what I had for you, you would not comprehend.” So continue to seek God’s face for the mission, the vision as you have made it plain. Because you endured and kept your eyes seeking even while in the pit, you will better appreciate the palace. God’s ways are not our ways neither His thoughts our thoughts but we are told to seek The Lord while He may be found and call on Him while He is near. What are we seeking? His ways and thoughts because they will not return to Him void. Instead they will have us going out in joy and being lead forth by peace! (Isaiah 55) That is my palace. That is my greater!!

As people brag about the presents, remember you have God’s presence! He came to this world to be with us! Emmanuel! God is with us. What a gift!

Wonderful: Jesus is the One who makes us smile. Counselor: there is not a situation that we have that He doesn’t know how to guide us through. Mighty God: He is greater and stronger and higher than all. Everlasting Father: we have a connection with the Father that is personal and f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Prince of Peace: Jesus gives us perfect peace as our minds are stayed on Him.

We can enjoy this gift. We must give this gift. This gift is a power packed, gift that keeps on giving type of gift!

One of the holiday’s best-loved songs, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” marks the longest holiday in the Christian calendar — the time between Christmas Day and Epiphany, celebrated on January six.

The song’s origin is unknown, but some believe the song was written to help Catholic children remember various articles of faith. These are:

True love

A partridge in a pear tree

Two turtle doves
Old and New Testaments

Three French hens
Faith, Hope, and Charity

Four calling birds
Four Gospels

Five golden rings
The first five books of the Old Testament, the Pentateuch, which records the history and laws of ancient Israel

Six geese a-laying
Six days of Creation

Seven swans a-swimming
Seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, or the Seven Sacraments

Eight maids a-milking
Eight beatitudes

Nine ladies dancing
Nine fruits of the Holy Spirit

Ten lords a-leaping
Ten Commandments

Ah, the thought of things for which I am thankful.
It brings me joy when I ponder on thing fateful.

The people, places and situations that I encounter everyday.
Like the crossing guard on the corner who sends a smile my way.

Ooo, I must mention my love for my family.
For my health, for my friends and little pieces of life that fit in harmony.

Relationships are what makes me most grateful.
Thank You God for my life which is most peaceful.

Almost Finished

Published November 18, 2014 by vfAith

I’m almost finished with the book and the 21 day fast!! The book The Shack is mind opening. Here is my take from it the first time of reading.

Jesus doesn’t want me to be like Him. He doesn’t want any of us to be like Him. He was Him and that’s the only Jesus we will need…EVER! With that truth, I have to be V Faith because I am the only one in the world! Being me to the fullest is what will bring God glory.

Jesus doesn’t want us to follow Him, not like we are fans who don’t know Him intimately. Instead He wants to lead us into a relationship with Him like the one He has with His Father and the Holy Spirit.

As I hang around Jesus, I will be like Jesus. Remember, what I am around I will become like. Yes, I will follow Jesus, for He as done many things and I want to learn from Him. Then I will look like Jesus, but so others can see Him.

My focus is my relationship with this Supreme Being. I love to live in His love. I have a purpose in my identity as a daughter of Father God.

You dear reader are the only you on this earth. You are completed through your relationship with Jesus. Get married to Jesus! It’s the only relationship in this world that will satisfy! God bless you.
